Principal's Message
‘Education is about empowerment, about cultivating a human being to the highest possible potential. It is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom.’ Believing firmly in the above said lines, I feel a strong sense of fulfillment and pride when it comes to associating with my work and my passion for education. Mary Wanamaker Girls’ Intermediate College is by far one of the oldest established institutions in our city – Prayagraj. Since time immemorial, it has stood as the epitome of learning and imparting education to the girl child. Giving my thirty – four years in service to this glorious institution – I now stand to serve as the Principal of this esteemed College. I have vowed to take this institution to heights un believable, to reach new horizons each day, to uplift each and every member associated with me in this journey and to provide the best for my beloved students. Needless to say, our College has blossomed beautifully over the years. We boast of our able students holding important positions in the society today as doctors, teachers, administrative officers, creative individuals, homemakers and the like. Our goal as leaders and as teachers has not only been academics but the overall development of our students added with imparting good moral values into our students to prepare them for the world ahead. The modern computer age has infused in us the need to import computer education to our students from classes sixth till tenth. We also offer various extra-curricular activities like Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Bal Sabha, Debates, Elocution, Quiz competitions etc. We now have a very well developed and attractive play area for students and Basketball and Badminton courts developed under the ‘Smart City Project-Prayagraj.’ Our College is now fully under electronic surveillance of CCTV cameras installed in various locations within the school campus keeping the safety and security of our students and college personnel as the top priority. We also offer Mid-day meals to our students with a different menu each day and make sure that all our students avail it. Our meals our prepared with utmost love, care and cleanliness. It gives me immense pleasure to mention that under my regime, we have taken a step further to start ‘Smart Classes’ in our College this year. I’d also like to share that with the blessings of the Almighty, with my hard work and perseverance and with prayers of my well-wishers I was most humbled to have received the state honor for excellence in the field of education by the honorable Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath Ji and honorable Governer Mrs. Anandiben in the year 2019. With utmost humility, I take this up gradation as a motivational step in my career and wish to achieve new heights for my institution. I wish the best to my Manager Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mall, staff members, my office staff and my karamcharies who are the backbone of our institution and are a source of continuous support and cooperation for me. A special mention for my teaching staff who leave no alone unturned when it comes to imparting education. They work relentlessly day and night to achieve one common goal-education.
